The Unsolvable Project

  • We believe we are all ready to make the world a better place, but one obstacle may be that it is not apparent how to accomplish this.

The Unsolvable Project seeks to awaken and facilitate society’s innate problem-solving abilities for transforming the world’s most complex problems, one local community at a time.

The issues we address are: redundancy, overlap, competition for resources, burn-out, and fragmentation of efforts — we want to solve waste in philanthropic efforts.

  • By bringing diverse people together in an immersive, interactive and, each time, wholly unique experience, our objective is to help them ‘see’ in a new way, leading them to ‘doing’ in a new way, regarding their capacity to approach and resolve these persistent overwhelming problems.

The systemic-systematic approach to problem-solving in our society-lab is meant to give philanthropy tools to work smarter.

  • Knowledge Ecologist & Socialroots Founder

I'm Christina Bowen. I build dynamic maps and design human-centered software aimed at coherent futures. My background in wetland ecology and environmental science helps me trace information flows in human organizations and communities. For over two decades I've been learning what living systems principles mean for human groups.

Since 2015, I've been applying this knowledge using maps to make effective strategic options more visible. My network landscapes and system maps help people see their way through tangled wicked problems to the opportunities. I’m currently building Socialroots to support cross-group communication for some of our biggest challenges.
